Carl Addy. Director, Designer and Illustrator


Currently repped by Mill+ and Skinflicks, Carl has Directed the Google Chrome ‘Jamal Edwards’ and ‘Julie Deane’ spots, with ‘Jamal Edwards’ being the second most viewed ad on YouTube of 2012 and winner of a silver Clio Award in the Television/Cinema category.


Some of his recent highlights include, Directing Credit Suisse ‘Bam’, MTV’s ‘Rhythm Jerk’, the Young Directors Awards 2012 trailer film and the opening titles to the Ciclope Festival 2011. He has also just completed the highly anticipated 'We Are Shining' music video which has recently been chosen as a Vimeo Staff pick.


Alongside Carl's Directorial work, he is also a designer, illustrator and musician. Furiously trying to maintain a balance between the commercial dark arts and his personal work.


Carl has over 16 years experience in the industry and was an Art director at Ogilvy and Mather, a founding member of Produce Interactive, owner and founder of Harmless and Domesticated design consultancy, and design director at The Ebeling group, group head at Iris integrated agency and Creative Director of design at the MIll.


He has won Advertising, Design and Direction awards, mentored at both the Miami Ad School and Barcelona's Atalier school and has served as judge for the D&AD and more recently spoken at Semipermanent Stockholm and Offf Barcelona, Istanbul and Mexico city conferences.
